The Facts

  • A Gallup survey published on Tuesday has found that former US Pres. Joe Biden has the lowest favorability rating among all the five living men who served as US presidents, at 39%, as well as the highest unfavorability, at 57%.

  • These figures are slightly better than his worst rating since becoming president — 37% and 61% last June — but much worse than his favorability at the time of his inauguration, 59%, and near the end of his vice presidency in 2017, 61%.

  • Meanwhile, former Pres. Barack Obama holds the highest favorability rating among the living presidents, at 59%, with opinions about him steady since he left the White House. Of the respondents, 36% view him unfavorably.

The Spin

Democratic narrative

Polls have declared Biden's presidency a failure, but history will eventually show that this narrative is a misconception — and misinformation. Actually, Pres. Biden delivered unprecedented economic achievements, successfully managing post-pandemic recovery and reducing income inequality to historic lows.

Republican narrative

It's no surprise that Biden is the least popular living US president for a considerable margin as his administration was a complete failure — to the point that his fellow Democrats forced him to quit the 2024 presidential race. Elite historians have fueled his narcissistic delusions of grandeur, but Americans just can't stand him.
