Israel Atomic Energy Commission

The Israel Atomic Energy Commission (IAEC) is the governmental body responsible for Israel’s nuclear research, development, and regulation, including both civilian nuclear energy programs and nuclear safety oversight. Established in 1952, the IAEC also coordinates scientific research, promotes nuclear technology applications, and advises the Israeli government on nuclear policy and security matters.
