Erik Townsend is a retired software entrepreneur turned hedge fund manager, best known as the founder and host of the MacroVoices podcast, which provides in-depth macroeconomic analysis and interviews with financial experts. A former computer prodigy who spent his teenage years at MIT's Artificial Intelligence lab, Townsend later pioneered Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) and founded the Cushing Group, a consultancy that contributed to Wells Fargo becoming the world's first internet bank.
