Shafiqur Rahman

Shafiqur Rahman is a Bangladeshi Islamic leader who has served as the Ameer (party leader) of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami since 2019. Rahman supported the rights of religious minorities in the country. He took the initiative to protect the lives and properties of minorities, visited Hindu temples, and called to nominate Hindu candidates from his party. He also supported and promised to maintain women's right to work outside and freedom of clothing if the party forms a government.
