In a raid on the Haredi Jewish Lev Tahor community's compound in Oratorio on Friday, Guatemalan authorities took at least 160 minors and 40 women into protective custody.
The operation involved hundreds of law enforcement agents, psychologists, and social workers and was supported by the US Dept. of Homeland Security.

The UK's Office for National Statistics (ONS) has downgraded the nation's Q3 2024 gross domestic product (GDP) growth to zero from an initial estimate of 0.1%, while second-quarter growth was also revised from 0.5% to 0.4%.
