The Syrian Democratic Forces withdrew from al-Hol camp in northeast Syria, which houses approximately 24,000 people with suspected Islamic State group (IS) links, including around 6,500 foreign nationals from 42 countries. The SDF cited international indifference and failure to address the IS issue as reasons for redeploying forces to protect cities facing increasing threats.
