Peru

Archaeologists have unveiled a 3,500-year-old city named Peñico in Peru's northern Barranca province, located approximately 323 kilometers (200 miles) north of Lima, at an elevation of 600 meters (1,969 feet) above sea level. It was reportedly founded between 1,800 and 1,500 B.C. during the same period as early civilizations in the Middle East and Asia.
