Johns Hopkins University researchers analyzed hospital records of 56.5 million U.S. Medicare patients admitted between 2000 and 2014, finding that long-term exposure to PM2.5 air pollution raised the risk of Lewy body dementia by 12% for dementia with Lewy bodies and 17% for Parkinson's disease dementia. The results were published Thursday.
