Dick Durbin

Richard Joseph "Dick" Durbin serves as U.S. Senator from Illinois since 1997 and Senate Majority Whip since 2005. Born in 1944, he previously served in the House of Representatives from 1983-1997. Durbin chairs the Senate Judiciary Committee and is known for his work on immigration reform, criminal justice issues, and healthcare policy.
