Volker Turk

Volker Türk is an Austrian lawyer and United Nations official who has served as the UN high commissioner for human rights since October 2022. He previously held various high-ranking positions within the UNHCR and the UN Secretariat, including assistant high commissioner for protection and under-secretary-general for policy.
