Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey has sued the Biden administration to prevent the U.S. Treasury from withholding or taking back COVID-19 stimulus funds.
The Treasury has threatened Arizona's access to the funds if Ducey continues making schools that impose mask mandates inelligible for the money.
The lawsuit will teach the president a lesson in federalism. Arizona is free to spend the funds as it sees fit. The state is being singled out for scrutiny because of Biden's bizarre obsession with masks and mandates.
Ducey is suing for the right to put children's health at risk. The federal government is responsible for "promot[ing] the general welfare" of its citizens, and Biden has every right to demand that schools with common-sense mask mandates receive funds.
