Biden visited NYC on Thursday to discuss crime policy and meet with Mayor Eric Adams.
In a speech, he pledged to support community policing and post-prison programs, and crack down on gun violence.

This is bad news. Adams' policies have turned back the clock on many hard-won progressive policing reforms. In an effort to look tough, Biden is moving right and returning to outdated ideas from the times of mass incarceration.
Right narrative
Biden is just paying lip-service to Adams, without proposing any concrete solutions. If he's serious about cracking down on crime, he should act to counter the progressive extremists in his party.
