At least 1 person was killed and 10 more were reportedly injured in the Russian missile strikes that struck Kyiv on Thursday. Two missiles struck the Shevchenkivs'kyi district, Ukrainian officials said, with one striking the lower floors of a residential building and another an unspecified location.
In a statement on Fri., Russia's defense ministry said that high precision long-range missiles struck the Artem production facility in Kyiv. Its website, before taken down, listed the company as a joint state venture that manufactures aircraft munitions and missile defense systems. The claims couldn't be confirmed.
The world cannot stand by as Russia continues their atrocities and aggression in Ukraine. Every day the Ukrainians are paying with their lives, and the West must contribute arms, funding, ammunition and economic support to counter Putin's war of extermination.
Arming Ukraine further will only prolong the war, provoke instability in Europe, and ultimately destroy the nation. The West must act to end the war now, before nothing remains of the country they seek to protect.
NATO and the US have ignored Russia's security concerns by breaking their promise not to expand eastward in return for German reunification. These concerns are legitimate and taking them seriously would have avoided the Ukraine tragedy.
