Fetterman has the everyman aesthetic appeal - and the right platform - to reach voters Democrats wouldn't normally be able to convince. He'll have a strong shot to turn this seat blue against the GOP candidate.
Republican narrative
The Democrats are taking a risk trying to win a statewide election with Fetterman, who comes from the Bernie Sanders wing of the party. He also has major baggage through his refusal to apologize for a 2013 incident when he held an unarmed Black jogger at gunpoint.
