Midterm elections: GOP redistricting setbacks prompt lawsuits, gerrymandering accusations
FOX NewsOct 19, 2021
The North Carolina Supreme Court ruled 4-3 on Friday against the GOP-led state's redistricting maps, labelling them unconstitutional.
This overturns a lower court ruling from January.
The ruling strikes down an illegal attempt to undermine democracy through gerrymandering. More must now be done to ban partisan redistricting and protect minority voters.
Republicans are only responding to former AG Eric Holder's strategic attack on GOP districts across America, implemented through the NDRC he created after Obama was crushed in the 2010 redistricting cycle. They must protect their voting interests to keep the system fair.
