New York has joined several other Democrat-run states to drop its indoor mask mandate, except in schools, health care facilities, prisons and public transportation.
Businesses will no longer need to require masks or ask for proof of vaccination, although they retain the right to do so.

Blue states are continuing to follow the science. The omicron wave is receding, vaccination rates are high, and hospitalizations are down; now is the time to end mask mandates and start returning to normal life.
