    The Facts

    • Albert Bourla, the CEO of Pfizer, said on Sun. that most people will need to get a second booster shot to be protected from COVID, which would bring the total number of jabs to four.

    • He said preliminary data indicated that though the first booster prevents severe symptoms, the protection appears to be only temporary, and it's less effective at preventing infections overall.

    The Spin

    Right narrative

Mask mandates have already been dropped in even blue states because of their ineffectiveness, and now Pfizer is admitting that vaccines don't work properly either. It's time to end pointless abridgements of freedom and remove all mandates.

    Left narrative

Vaccines do work, they simply need to be updated as new virus mutations circulate. Public health officials and vaccine producers have continually indicated that we would likely need another booster shot. The data also indicate that this is the case.

    Cynical narrative

Pfizer, which made $37 billion from the sale of vaccines in 2021, is profiting off the pandemic. The sale of extra shots will only increase their earnings in 2022; more must be done to make treatments and vaccinations more affordable and accessible around the world.
