    The Facts

    • On Mon., pro-choice protestors staged a blockade on intersections near the Supreme Court as the US waits to hear the verdict on Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization, which could see Roe v. Wade overturned.

    • A draft opinion leaked from the court last month indicated that the majority of the Justices would support overturning Roe, which implemented the federal right to abortion in 1973.

    The Spin

    Left narrative

The Constitutional right to safe abortions has protected American women since 1973. The majority of US citizens support upholding Roe because, if overturned, it would be catastrophic for women and spark dire consequences for human rights.

    Right narrative

SCOTUS justices have rightly indicated that abortion is not a federal issue and should be decided by states. Left-wing extremists are trying to bully the court into upholding Roe v. Wade. They must be held accountable.

    Conservative narrative

Justices are especially vulnerable to acts of political violence as they make up a branch of government where a single vote can change the result in a case. All it takes is one extremist, caught up in righteous fanaticism, to believe that this is the moment to assassinate a Justice to safeguard Roe. It's concerning that their urgent need for protection is even being debated. Protecting democracy means protecting all of its institutions.
