The UK govt is facing accusations of complacency and ineffectiveness from across the political spectrum over the handling of the Ukrainian refugee crisis.
Confusions over its response have included how many routes are available to refugees and whether application centres are available en route to those fleeing Ukraine.
The SNP and others are right to be calling out an utterly unconscionable response to the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Ukraine. Current visa rules are far too stringent and the UK must do more to help those fleeing the Russian invasion.
The government's position has been made abundantly clear; the PM is expecting and encouraging a vast influx from Ukraine through the family reunion scheme. Speed is the only issue. Much of the criticism the government is facing is just mudslinging from political opportunists.
