On Wednesday, FBI Director Christopher Wray testified before the House Judiciary Committee about the July 13 assassination attempt on former Pres. Donald Trump.
Wray said the shooting is being probed both as an act of domestic terrorism and an attempted assassination, calling it "an attack on democracy." He went on to say that the FBI would leave "no stone unturned" in its investigation.

While the shooter may be dead, the FBI's investigation is still ongoing. Agents are working night and day to investigate this heinous crime and find the answers that everyone so desperately seeks. Political violence like this is completely unacceptable. This was an attack against American Democracy. It would be best to let the FBI's investigation run its course instead of encouraging baseless speculation.
Establishment-critical narrative
It is ridiculous that the FBI still cannot answer basic questions regarding the motive of Crooks in his assassination attempt against Trump. It is confusing that Wray has said that there is no clear ideological motive that could have explained the attack despite evidence that may suggest otherwise. Trump was failed by law enforcement, and the American public deserves answers as to why and how this could have been allowed to happen.
