The Facts

  • The first male victim to come forward about allegedly being raped at the Supernova music festival during Hamas' Oct. 7 attack described the assault to Israeli media on Wednesday without revealing his identity.

  • Identified only by the Hebrew letter Dalet (ד), the victim told Channel 12 news broadcast that he was pinned to the ground, had his clothes stripped off, and was spat on.

The Spin

Pro-establishment narrative

The evidence continues to pile up documenting Hamas' brutal terrorist attack on Oct. 7. Gangs of murderous rapists attacked innocent Israeli civilians throughout southern Israel, humiliating their victims as much as possible. Though the world may choose to forget what happened on that fateful day, Hamas' terrorism is the reason for the war in Gaza.

Establishment-critical narrative

Accusations of sexual assault have been systematically weaponized to justify Israel's genocide against Palestinians in Gaza. Many of the reports regarding alleged acts of sexual assault have proved to be false. This is not to say that sexual assault on Oct. 7 did not occur, but that some claims have been based on faulty evidence or speculation.
