The Facts
During an evidentiary hearing at Fulton County Superior Court Thursday, Georgia DA Fani Willis rejected a motion's claim that she should be removed from former Pres. Donald Trump's election interference case because of her personal relationship with Special Prosecutor Nathan Wade.
In January 2024, Roman Merchant — a co-defendant of Trump — submitted a motion to both dismiss the case and disqualify Willis from prosecuting the matter further, accusing the DA of both an "improper, clandestine personal relationship" with Wade and an improper use of COVID backlog funding.

Pro-Trump narrative
Willis's hearing was embarrassment, saturated with raised voices and lies. Despite already admitting to a relationship, Willis and Wade's romantic timeline still doesn't add up — the two should immediately resign from their posts and should have no future role in upholding the integrity of America's legal system.
Anti-Trump narrative
Willis and Wade should step aside, but only because their relationship — wrong or right — must not be allowed to further undermine the chances of Trump being convicted for his crimes. The bigger picture must not be lost — the former president attempted to completely disregard America's democratic foundations, and any distractions must be removed to prevent anything similar from taking place ever again.
