Amazon reportedly plans to donate $1M to US Pres.-elect Donald Trump's inaugural fund — matching Meta's recent contribution — while also providing an additional $1M in-kind donation by streaming the inauguration on Amazon Video.
Amazon Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Jeff Bezos is scheduled to meet Trump at Mar-a-Lago next week, following recent meetings between Trump and other tech leaders, including Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg and Google CEO Sundar Pichai. OpenAI CEO Sam Altman has also pledged $1M to the fund.

Bezos' contribution shows he recognizes the importance of Trump's plans to reduce regulation, cut government waste, and decrease the national debt by growing gross domestic product. Bezos, Musk, and other tech titans can be a dream team of advisors to help Trump put the US back on track.

These tech billionaires courting Trump are only interested in wealth-boosting deregulation disguised as government efficiency. They're making these donations either out of fear of Trump prosecuting them or as attempts to bribe him — or both. In the end, it's the American people who will suffer.
