Israeli PM Naftali Bennet and Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Zayed traveled to Egypt on Tues. to discuss regional issues and cooperation with Egyptian Pres. Abdul Fattah al-Sisi.
They discussed energy, food, and market stability amid the invasion of Ukraine, Syria's return to the Arab fold, and their concern about a nuclear deal between Iran and world powers.
This summit was another good step in strengthening the relationship between Israel and its Arab neighbors. Hopefully Israel, Egypt, and the UAE will be united in their cooperation and opposition to an Iran nuclear deal.
Despite claims that good relations between Israel and Arab nations will benefit the Palestinian people, the deepening of ties has only favored compliance toward the pernicious blockade of the Gaza Strip.
