Sen. Paul Vows Fauci Subpoena if GOP Takes Senate Majority

Sen. Rand Paul has vowed to subpoena Dr. Anthony Fauci if Republicans take control of the Senate in the 2022 midterms.
Fauci, the director of NIAID, and Paul have had several public disagreements over COVID policies, the virus' origin and gain-of-function research.
The Spin
Right narrative
Paul rightfully continues to challenge Fauci, who has flip-flopped on several issues throughout the pandemic, and even conveniently changed the definition of gain-of-function research when seemingly caught lying.
Left narrative
Paul is more interested in villainizing Fauci than actually holding him accountable for anything. There have been no major revelations from the thousands of emails Fauci has already made public. More such investigations will simply delegitimize the oversight process.
