South Carolina House passes transgender sports bill despite Democratic stall tactic of introducing 1,000 amendments

This legislation will only serve to fuel stigma and shame already directed towards vunerable youth, and deny transgender girls equal rights in South Carolina. Gender non-conforming children are being used as a political bargaining chip.
Sport is about the body and male and female bodies are different. Cisgender female athletes are at risk of being left to compete for second place against trans competitors with an obvious biological advantage. Trans athletes have no place in women's sport.
