The Houthi rebels struck an oil storage facility in the Saudi Arabian port city of Jeddah on Fri., causing a massive fire.
This was the group's highest-profile attack on the kingdom since the beginning of the Saudi-led intervention in Yemen in 2015.
This is but the latest in a string of terrorist attacks perpetrated by Houthi rebels, in clear violation of international law. Saudi Arabia and its allies have tried to negotiate peace, but all efforts have been rejected. The Houthis are a terrorist group that doesn't represent Yemen's legitimate government, and must be held accountable.
There cannot be peace in Saudi Arabia or Yemen until the Saudis and Emiratis' brutal war and blockade is ended. The two nations are conducting war crimes in Yemen and the Houthis' resistance is just as legitimate as the resistance in Ukraine. The war in Yemen has caused untold suffering on the Yemeni people, but the media has consistently failed to extensively cover it.
