The test-fire of the Hwasong-18 is vital to Pyongyang's efforts to strengthen self-defense capabilities to dissuade hostile forces and prevent a disastrous nuclear war amid mounting provocations from the US and its pawns. As Washington carries out aerial espionage acts violating North Korea's sovereignty and plans to deploy a nuclear submarine to the Korean Peninsula, this launch is a clear warning message.
Yet again, Pyongyang has blatantly violated UN Security Council resolutions to threaten regional and global peace, stressing the need for the international community to stand firmly against such provocations. Japan, South Korea, and NATO must join forces to push for the denuclearization of North Korea, particularly given the long range of its ballistic missiles.
