Version 6.18.1
The AU-EU Summit represents a genuine partnership transformation, with Europe having learned from past mistakes. With investments of €150 billion under the Global Gateway initiative and €15.5 billion for renewable energy, the EU is implementing concrete infrastructure and clean energy projects that create jobs and provide electricity to millions of people. This partnership goes beyond mere aid and focuses on mutual prosperity through trade, technology exchange, and youth exchange programs, in which 48,000 students have already participated.
The AU-EU summit highlights how much the tides have turned, with Europe now desperately struggling to keep up in Africa, yet failing to overcome its hubris. The same railway that was built to exploit mineral resources is now receiving EU funding for cobalt and copper extraction, while Africans continue to live in poverty. Meanwhile, Europe criminalizes African migrants fleeing poverty caused by neocolonial economic policies and funds militarized coast guards to intercept refugees and leave them in inhumane camps.
