Brazil's J8 rioters, as well as Bolsonaro and several of his allies have been charged for their role in a coup attempt following his electoral defeat in 2022. This rally was a desperate move to try to portray them as innocent patriots and put political pressure on Congress for an amnesty, but the plan failed abysmally due to low turnout.
Right narrative
Thousands of Brazilian patriots gathered peacefully to call for the release of Jan. 8 political prisoners, many of whom have been behind bars without trial. These men and women are law-abiding citizens that have done nothing wrong at all and deserve justice. This rally hasn't failed, quite the contrary, as images show a massive attendance.
