The Spin

Right narrative

This law represents common-sense agricultural policy that aligns France with the rest of Europe. French farmers face unfair competition when they're crushed by regulations at home while imports from countries with less stringent regulatory regimes flood their market. The activist class still has no perspective on the harm done to French agriculture.

Left narrative

Acetamiprid is a dangerous "bee killer" that threatens public health and biodiversity. This law prioritizes corporate profits over environmental protection and human safety. The massive petition response shows that French citizens reject this reckless policy that could cause long-term ecological damage. France cannot afford to take a step backwards.
