    The Spin

    Pro-Trump narrative

It is fundamental to U.S. interests and international security for Iran never to acquire nuclear weapons. The Trump administration's policy of "maximum pressure" is the right course of action to bring Iran to the negotiating table and hammer out a permanent solution.

    Pro-Iran narrative

For all of Trump's empty threats and belligerent rhetoric, Iran will not be intimidated into disadvantageously entering direct negotiations. Instead, Iran will assert its right to peaceful nuclear development while maintaining openness to the U.S. through indirect diplomatic channels.
