The Spin

Labour Party narrative

The Labour government has worked hard to clean up the migration mess created by the Tories over the last five years. Just as they began to fix the domestic issues, French police have now thrown a new problem into the mix — escorting thousands of migrants from their country onto boats, which were then used to send 1,200 of them across the Channel in one day. France must be willing to fulfill its obligations while the U.K. does its part.

Conservative Party narrative

While the Tories certainly failed on migration for many years, it was actually their end-of-term policies last year, not the new Labour government's, that kept migration low over the last 10 months. Unfortunately, Labour has not maintained the policies of the prior government but rather redefined Britain as a welfare state for any and all to move to. The Tories lost the last election because of migration, and Labour faces the same fate should these boat arrivals continue.

Reform Party narrative

Both major parties have done nothing to fix this issue, but continue bickering over who's worse. Not only do they welcome third-world migrants en masse, but they also cause the original problems that force migrants to travel to Europe in the first place. Liberal Western politicians have destroyed African, Asian, and South American nations, don't apologize for their errors, and then import those problems to the U.K.
