Russian attacks on Ukraine over the past day killed 19 people and injured over 130, Ukrainian officials confirmed on Thursday.
Most of the victims from Wednesday's attacks came in the city of Zaporizhzhia where 13 people were killed and at least 113 were injured, officials said.
The strikes targeted an "industrial site" — believed to be a drone manufacturing facility — but also struck a nearby apartment complex, as well as a passing tram and minibus, resulting in a number of casualties.
Russia is continuing its terror attacks on residential areas of Ukraine, knowing that civilians will be killed. Military pressure needs to be placed on Russia so that attacks of this sort come to an end.
While Russia has struck residential areas in the course of the war, it has denied targeting civilians, and it's possible that missiles headed for industrial sites missed their targets as a result of electronic jamming.
