China complains of ‘irresponsible remarks’ about its role in Ukraine war

Brink's departure is excellent news in the Trump administration's efforts to bring about a ceasefire in Ukraine. Rather than sticking with the ineffective and expensive 'blank cheque' approach to the conflict seen under Biden, Trump is looking to achieve rapid progress through diplomacy, which will soon go unhampered by a Democrat nominee.
Brink has done an exceptional job in a demanding role over the last three years. The U.S. has taken a clear stand against Russian expansionism by supporting Ukraine against Putin's illegal invasion, and Brink's conflict with the new Trump administration is evidence that she is continuing this fight. Her resignation is a loss to Kyiv.
