Women's sports have enjoyed unprecedented growth in revenue, demonstrating the massive untapped potential in the market. Through improved content access and enhanced event experiences — as well as by establishing household names and repeating the most effective strategies for growth — stakeholders should be able to keep the momentum going.
The growing success of women's sports worldwide is a milestone to be celebrated. But there's still much work to do, especially in the compensation realm for athletes. More must be done to close the gender gap in pay and make sure women continue to receive the same opportunities as men. Addressing past injustices is a controversial but crucial measure worth considering as well.
