Calling Grace Tame "difficult" is textbook misogyny and a dismissive label men use when women refuse to comply or stay quiet. Tame deserved words like "survivor," "activist" or "resilient" instead of an adjective historically weaponized against outspoken women who challenge power. It's time to recognize that standing firm isn't a character flaw but the mark of a changemaker.
Albanese's "difficult" comment was far too soft and shows his typical weakness as a leader who constantly caves to criticism. The real issue isn't the word choice but that Tame's behavior warrants much harsher descriptions given her conduct. Backing down and apologizing for a mild observation only proves Albanese lacks the spine to stand by reasonable assessments when facing backlash.
