The Spin

Progressive narrative

This investment is integral to the CoE's Christian obligations. With 41% of the Diocese of London's population coming from a global majority heritage, it is essential to expand anti-racism training and remove barriers to leadership and worship, the implementation of which fulfills the Gospel's mandate to welcome and value every person as created in the image of God.

Conservative narrative

This latest waste of money is typical of how disconnected church leadership has become from the institution's actual needs, choosing to prioritize frivolous racial justice intiatives when it faces crumbling parishes and dwindling congregations. If it persists down the path of progressive virtue signalling, the CoE will cease to exist altogether as the faithful abandon it in their droves.
