Grok has become a weapon for mass sexual harassment, churning out nonconsensual deepfakes at an alarming rate while X fails to implement even the most rudimentary safety measures. The platform's refusal to remove these harmful features outright shows a complete disregard for victims, which warrants immediate regulatory action by the authorities.
Techno-optimist narrative
Blaming Grok for the rise in inappropriate images fails to consider that the AI does not decide what gets created; the user does. Responsibility, therefore, lies with the individuals misusing the technology, not the tool itself. As such, X will take action to ensure that those creating illegal content with Grok will face the same consequences as if they directly uploaded such material.
