North Korea fired a suspected intercontinental ballistic missile - a day after launching its highest number of missiles in a single day -as South Korea and the US ran air drills from Monday to Friday,and the US accused China and Russia of protecting Pyongyang from UN action.Meanwhile, the US warned that it wouldn't "hesitate to act" amid alleged threats of an Iranian attack on Saudi Arabia,a report revealed that the US Air Force plans to deploy nuclear-capable B-52s to Australia,the UN Security Council rejected Moscow's call for a probe into alleged "military biological" activities in Ukraine,and Ethiopia's federal government and Tigrayan forces agreed to a truce.In other news, a report alleged that Russia is recruiting US-trained Afghan commandos,four were abducted in a suspected al-Shabab attack in Kenya,and over 100 were killed in two car bombings in Somalia.

Russia-Ukraine

Russian attacks continued to target Ukraine's energy infrastructure on Mondayand throughout the rest of the week, with reports that shelling near the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) disconnected the facility from Ukraine's power grid again.According to Ukrainian Pres. Zelenskyy, due to the attacks - which have allegedly destroyed around 40% of the country's energy infrastructure - 4.5M people across the country have faced rolling blackouts.Meanwhile, following Russian allegations that Ukraine was preparing to use a "dirty bomb" - i.e. conventional munition laced with radioactive material - on its own territory, the International Atomic Energy Agency sent inspectors to investigate on Tuesdayand concluded on Thursday that there were no signs of any nuclear activity.Meanwhile, after withdrawing from the Black Sea Grain Initiative last week over allegations that Ukraine - with the help of the British - attacked its Black Sea fleet, Moscow agreed to resume its participation in the deal on Wednesday.Zelenskyy announced on Saturday that 28 ships carrying 800k tonnes of food have set out since its revival.
