Klaus Schwab is a German mechanical engineer and economist, best known as the founder of the World Economic Forum (WEF), established in 1971 to foster collaboration among political, business, and societal leaders. He served as the WEF's executive chairman until 2025, when he stepped down following a whistleblower investigation, though he remained involved as chairman of the board of trustees.
