Chris Giles

Chris Giles is an economics commentator for the Financial Times, where he writes on global economic issues, particularly central banking. He served as the paper's Economics Editor from 2004 to 2023. Before joining the Financial Times, he worked as an economist for the Institute for Fiscal Studies, a reporter for the BBC, and a policy professional at Ofcom.
