The Government of Cuba is a unitary Marxist-Leninist one-party socialist republic led by the Communist Party of Cuba, the only legal political party in the country. Since the 1959 revolution, Cuba has been governed under a centralized socialist system with power concentrated in the executive branch, currently led by President Miguel Díaz-Canel and First Secretary of the Communist Party.
