World Bank

The World Bank is comprised of the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) and the International Development Association (IDA). It is responsible for giving loans and grants to governments in low- and middle-income countries to help alleviate poverty. Its headquarters are located in Washington DC.
