Múte Egede is the current prime minister of Greenland, serving since April 2021 and the youngest person to hold this position. Egede is the chairman of the Inuit Ataqatigiit party and a strong advocate for Greenlandic independence from Denmark. He has been a member of Greenland's parliament since 2015 and has previously served as minister for raw material and the labour market.
