The Facts
A Border Police officer was killed, and at least 10 people were injured when a gunman opened fire at a bus station in Beersheba, southern Israel, on Sunday.
The suspect, identified as Ahmad al-Uqbi, has been killed by security officers at the scene of the shooting.

Israel is under attack and facing immense threats from multiple fronts. These unprecedented times call for extraordinary measures to be taken. Attacks like the one in Beersheba emphasize the need for Israel to take additional security measures to defend itself. These are not just isolated acts of violence but rather organized violent campaigns of terror from groups militant groups like Hamas and Hezbollah.
Pro-Palestine narrative
This attack exists in a larger context of Palestinian resistance against the violent Israeli apartheid state. For the past year, Israel has laid siege to Gaza, killing thousands of innocent men, women, and children. While violence like the attack that took place yesterday should always be condemned, it's essential to look at events like these within a larger context instead of looking at them as isolated events devoid of socio-political context.
