The director of Project 2025, a conservative blueprint for the next Republican presidential administration, stepped down from his position at the Heritage Foundation on Tuesday.
Paul Dans, a former Donald Trump administration official, was the architect of the initiative overseen by the Heritage Foundation, a prominent conservative think tank. Dans is stepping down after working on the project for over two years.
Pres. Trump has repeatedly distanced himself from Project 2025 from the moment Democrats started using it as fodder to attack him. The former president has continuously maintained that Project 2025 has nothing to do with his campaign or his future administration, yet bad-faith liberals continue to lie in their efforts to smear his campaign. Paul Dans’ resignation further proves that the agenda holds no weight in the GOP, so the media can finally put its slander to bed.
Regardless of Trump’s statements on Project 2025, it's obvious that he and JD Vance are ideologically committed to Project 2025’s far-right vision. Paul Dans served as an official in the Trump administration, and many Trump allies have worked on the initiative. Meanwhile, Trump’s running mate has many ties to the Heritage Foundation and many right-wing insiders. Make no mistake, Project 2025 is still Trump’s agenda.
After nearly a decade of nonstop lies, one would think that Trump has learned not to fall for the mainstream media’s smears. Unfortunately, it’s clear that Trump fell hook, line, and sinker for the Democratic machine’s propaganda on Project 2025. Trump may be upset that he’s being tied to a group that isn’t affiliated with his campaign, but that’s no excuse to spread leftist misinformation on a conservative initiative. Project 2025 is not a fringe agenda.
