A ballistic missile launched from Yemen hit a playground in Tel Aviv's southern Jaffa district early on Saturday after unsuccessful Israeli interception attempts both above and in the atmosphere.
According to Israeli authorities, the strike left 16 people "mildly injured" by shattered glass from windows in nearby buildings — and another 14 were being treated for minor injuries sustained while rushing to shelters.
As long as the Israeli occupation regime continues its genocidal campaign against Palestinians as well as its blockade on Gaza, one can only expect the Houthis to carry out further similar strikes. Make no mistake, not even Israeli aggression against Yemen will affect its unwavering support for Palestine.
Israel and its allies have retaliated against the Iran-backed Houthis, but to no avail as the threat from Yemen remains. That's because the Houthi movement isn't a mere terrorist organization like other Iran proxies, but rather a rogue state actor. Deterrence against them will only work if they are treated as such.
