GOP vice presidential candidate JD Vance claims to have "created" a focus on Haitian migrants in Springfield, Ohio, so that US media "pays attention" to the "suffering" of American citizens. This comes amid controversial claims that Haitian immigrants were eating pets in the area.
During this month's presidential debate, former Pres. Trump accused migrants of "eating the dogs" and "eating the cats" in Springfield, stating that he had witnessed it on television.
Vance's latest comments are a blatant admission of wilful intention to spread harmful, racist disinformation in an attempt to benefit Trump's presidential campaign. Having inadvertently owned up to his role in stirring up unjustified hate against Springfield's Haitian community, the Ohio Senator's desperation to blame the American media for the consequences of his own actions is just as pathetic as it is unconvincing.
Attempts by the media propaganda machine to attack and dismiss the concerns of Vance and his constituents are yet another example of the liberal elites favoring woke ideals over the health and safety of the American people. By focusing on memes about cats and dogs instead of America's immigration crisis, the establishment is attempting to distract the public from the true issue at hand: Harris's open border policies are tearing America apart from the inside out.
