Wisconsin Democratic Attorney General Josh Kaul on Tuesday charged two attorneys and an aide who worked for former Pres. Donald Trump with forgery. They're charged with partaking in the alleged plan to overturn the state's results in the 2020 presidential election.
Attorneys Kenneth Chesebro and Jim Troupis, alongside political operative Michael Roman, all stand accused of collecting and submitting documents falsely claiming Trump defeated Democrat Joe Biden in Wisconsin.
One by one, states are filing charges to hold conspirators accountable for the fake electors scheme Trump spread across the country. Although the fake electors in Wisconsin didn't face charges, they had to admit wrongdoing and vow to stay out of the 2024 election. This nationwide effort to defraud the American public is being exposed just in time to make individuals think twice before committing similar crimes this November.
Prosecutors across the country have admitted the Trump team did nothing illegal, which makes this new case a clear example of the weaponization of the Democrats' justice system to punish Trump and keep him from returning to the White House. Presidential election results have been contested going back 200 years and have never been deemed illegal — even when they've involved alternate electors.
